I'm beginning to feel like Office Barbie at work. I'm young, single, and everyone wants to dress me up. Okay, maybe not everyone. Two people. One woman gave me a tank top and a pair of capris she got a yard sale and realized they were a little tight on her. I tried on the tank top and it works well for working out, so I kept it. The capris, I started to pull up and when they were just past my knees I twisted around and looked at the tag. HA! YEAH RIGHT! I'm flattered she thought I could get them past my thighs. I've passed them on to one of my ridiculously slim and gorgeous friends.
Later, another woman at work said, "I have a few pleated skirts I wanted to give you." I said okay. I like pleated skirts and I don't have any, so why not? The next day she showed up with half of her closet. Holy crap. I shoved it all in the backseat of my car and waited until I got home to look at them.
She gave me her 80s and 90s wardrobe!
I'm keeping a few pieces (the skirts) and I plan to donate the rest to Goodwill but I thought it might be fun to show them off, first.
For the record, I hate posing for pictures, but there's not going to be any candid shots in these outfits, so here we go!
Floodwater Blues
Polka dot blouse and too-short clown pants.
(That's Boo's not-so-squeaky-anymore monkey that he keeps ripping apart next to my foot.)
Missionary Stereotype
Lacy top with sleeves and floral skirt, ankle-length, modest slits on the sides for walking.
Bible not included.
Christmas Velour
Green velvet dress, simple.
Not too bad, but a little shapeless and I hate rubbing velvet the wrong way.
Black Attack
Black clown pants and a long (and wide) jacket.
I nearly had a heat stroke wearing this.
Tartan Times
Same black clown pants, plaid wool jacket...OMG a ghost is attached!
Mom and Beth (seedsower) thought the jacket was cute, but I can't wear wool. My skin was already prickling and itching in the time it took to take that picture. Plus, I don't want to be haunted by a ghostly orb!
Stripes and Pleats
Black vertical striped pleated skirt, pink and grey horizontal striped sweater.
Actually, she gave me the sweater a couple days later after I wore the grey pleated skirt (same style, solid color), but the grey skirt's at the dry cleaners. I won't be wearing the sweater, though, because it's really wide on me. I'll just have to tell her it doesn't fit. (I feel bad!)
Mary Ann
Long sleeved crop shirt (the shorts are mine).
Cute, but it doesn't make sense to me. Long sleeves and cropped? When am I supposed to wear this? I'm feeling wishy-washy about this one. Keep or donate?

Black suede(?) pencil skirt (shirt and boots are mine).
I really like this skirt, but I'm waiting until Fall to wear it because it's too hot for summer! It's made out of the same material as my boots, whatever the heck that is.
Purple Surprise
White and purple jumpsuit culottes.
Though I won't be keeping it, this one's my favorite of the bunch! If I was into anime cosplay or if it wasn't just a little too omg-I-can't-breath tight and if it was in a solid color (like black or brown) I might keep it, because how fun is that?!?
Boo wasn't sure what was going on but he wanted to be involved.
