All week I've been wanting to write a beautiful post, a funny post, a heartfelt post, or an inspiring post. Every evening I've pulled up the weblog entry page and stared at it for a while then closed it.
I have nothing to write. I'm such a boring person right now!
This week has been exciting for me at work, though. I'm just a temp working part-time so I've been having to share a desk with the other part-time worker who mysteriously manages to take up more than three quarters of the desk space. I've been asked to start coming in earlier (more hours, ftw!) which would put me in an awkward no-desk-and-nowhere-to-work position. But our HR manager was on top of things. I came into work yesterday to find a desk in a corner and his sleek physique bent over it, fiddling with a computer. Awesome.
I got to try it out today. I was curious at first about why I had a laptop and a desktop computer side by side, running together. Turns out the laptop is the actual computer, but my manager figured I wouldn't want to work on it so he hooked up a bigger monitor and keyboard.
I am super proud of my non-techy self for figuring out how to hook 'em up so I can drag things between the screens! Wicked! I moved all my desktop icons and inter-office IMs to the little screen so I have wide open spaces to work with on the big one. *tech-y bliss*
